Welcome! We are proud to be a part of your child’s literacy and learning experiences. We offer a variety of materials, programs and services for children from birth through grade 6. We strive to encourage and enhance a life-long love of reading and learning. We hope you’ll spend some time browsing our links and reading about all that we have to offer. Most importantly, we hope you will visit us often.

Children's Summer Reading Club 2015 ~ Every Hero Has a Story
The Children’s Summer Reading Club for children preschool through grade six began on June 17 and runs through August 13. For more information, click here.

Kung Fu Kitty

Place: Friends Room

Everybody is kung fu fighting like cats and dogs in this short comedy presented by the 4-6th grade students in the Theater Workshop. Fur flies when feisty kitten Princess escapes from catnapping Ting Tang and is helped by martial arts master Kung Fu Kitty. All are invited to this 30-minute performance. No registration is needed.


Super Readers Unite! Summer Finale
Who: Families with children ages 6 & under
When: Thursday, August 13, 2015
Time: 2:30-4m
Place: Library Front Lawn

Super Readers of all ages are invited to fly in for an afternoon of fun activities and ice cream. Wear your Super Reader T-shirt, and test your super powers on the front lawn of the library (inside if it rains). No registration is needed.

Superhero Child Flying


Rain or Shine Storytime
Who: Families with children ages 6 & under
When: Thursdays, June 18 through August 6, 2015
Time: 10:30am
Place: Children's Department

Fun summer stories, rhymes, songs and flannel board activities for the family. This drop-in storytime will be held in the Children's Department Courtyard if the weather allows, indoors if it doesn't. Bring a blanket to use outside. No registration is needed.

Bedtime Stories
Who: Families with children ages 2-6
When: Mondays, June 22 through August 10, 2015
Time: 10:30am
Place: Children's Department

Put on your PJ’s, grab your teddy bear, and settle down for a cozy half-hour of stories with the ones you love. No registration needed.


Fall Storytimes
Young children notice the excitement of the "big" kids heading off to start a new school year, so come to the library for literacy fun that is just for them. The six-week Fall Storytime session for children ages birth through five will run from September 28-November 6. Each storytime is planned based on the age of the children and includes stories, rhymes, songs, flannel board activities and movement. More information will available on the library website in mid-August. Registration will take place September 10-15.
