Welcome! We are proud to be a part of your child’s literacy and learning experiences. We offer a variety of materials, programs and services for children from birth through grade 6. We strive to encourage and enhance a life-long love of reading and learning. We hope you’ll spend some time browsing our links and reading about all that we have to offer. Most importantly, we hope you will visit us often.

Girl in Fairy Costume ReadingFall Storytime Registration

Children 15 months to 5 years of age

Storytimes for children ages 15 months to 5 years will run September 29 to November 7. Registration is required for the six-week session.

  • Registration forms for Glastonbury residents will be accepted September 10-16. All forms are processed randomly on September 17.
  • Nonresidents may register beginning September 19 if space remains.
Babies birth to 15 months of age

Storytimes for babies ages birth to 15 months will run September 29 to November 3. Registration is required.

  • Registration for Glastonbury residents begins September 15, in person or by phone.
  • Nonresidents may register beginning September 24.

Put on your PJ’s, grab your teddy bear and head to the library! No registration required.

Enjoy a low-tech, high-participation storytime that is fun for the whole family. This program will be offered the second Saturday of the month through May 2015. No registration required.


Dog and PumpkinGreg & Axel Save Halloween

Who: Families with preschool & elementary school-age children
When: Wednesday, October 29, 2014
Time: 3pm
Place: Friends Room

Greg the Magician and Axel the magic mutt need your help to save Halloween! The zombie bookworms are releasing all the spooky and silly monsters from the library books and we need to stop them before it ruins everything! No registration needed.
